I have the right to worship as a Catholic and invite people to join me. There is no chapel space in the Capital building, and there shouldn’t be. But, when I am serving as chaplain of the US House of Representatives, I am surrendering my constitutional right to pray my way because I am in service to the people for whom I am serving. ~ Fr. Patrick Conroy, SJ

April 18, 2018 — We as a Church commemorate the moment Jesus went into the wilderness of the desert because the Spirit was leading him (Mk 1:12). I find the image of the Spirit leading Jesus powerful and true for all of us. My vocation in the Society has been where I am able to see the Spirit leading me beyond my awareness in the moment.
