Jesuits in Eastern Africa--Shukran Newsletter
The Midwest Jesuits are “twinned” with the Eastern Africa Province composed of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, and North and South Sudan.
With thanks for your generosity to our Jesuit International Missions in Eastern Africa, we invite you to read the latest issue of Shukran (Swahili/Arabic for "Gratitude"), which includes news and stories of
how the Jesuits and their colleagues are serving where the need is
greatest. If you would like to make a donation to help the Jesuits in
Eastern Africa, please contact a member of our Advancement staff (see
below) or click here to make an online contribution.

I find the image of the Spirit leading Jesus powerful and true for all of us. My vocation in the Society has been where I am able to see the Spirit leading me beyond my awareness in the moment.
April 5, 2018 — Let us pray in thanksgiving for the life of Fr. James E. Chambers, SJ, who died on April 3, 2018, at Colombiere Center in Clarkston, Michigan. He was 93 years old. May he rest in peace.
